Test Viscosity in the Real Package
Water is not a useful stand-in for a conditioner during final packaging approval. Evaluate the actual formula for priming, repeated dispensing, residual product around the closure and restart after an agreed storage period.
If the formula or fragrance changes, ask whether compatibility and dispensing checks must be repeated. Do not approve one formula in a sample jar and assume it will behave identically in the production pack.
Record useful feedback
Good feedback identifies the sample code, component, observation and requested change. “The pump feels bad” is vague. “The selected pump requires repeated priming after the agreed rest period” gives the factory a specific issue to review.
Confirm label instructions after dispensing is approved
The label should not promise a fixed number of pumps or an application quantity unless that instruction has been validated for the final system. Salon dilution directions, if applicable, must match the actual product specification.

Before production, record:
- Formula and fragrance code.
- Confirmed fill quantity.
- Bottle material, color and reference.
